About the Company

As energy costs rise and environmental concerns grow, both homeowners and businesses are searching for clean and affordable renewable energy to meet their needs, or as supplemental sources of energy. 

That is exactly how Maximus Solar began.  In the early winter of 2007, homeowners Lamar and Karen Erdman began looking for ways to save money and conserve natural resources.  Using solar energy for their home's domestic hot water (DHW) for bathing, dishes and laundry was one investment they researched. 

After searching for the solar hot water (SHW) products that were the most efficient and easiest to install, they found SolarHot.  They found that the SolarHot system had the highest efficiency rating for its class from the  Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC).  Being impressed by the reviews of the SolarHot products and wanting to make a positive impact on the community and the environment, they started a retail sales and wholesale distribution company, Maximus Solar LLC.
